The Swiss Society for Pulmonary Hypertension SSPH
The Swiss Society for Pulmonary Hypertension (SSPH) was founded in Bern in 1998 by pulmonologists, doctors of intensive medicine, angiologists, cardiologists, paediatricians and doctors of internal medicine. This body of experts serves as a reference centre on the subject of pulmonary hypertension for medical professionals and patients. A key aim of the SSPH is to ensure the quality of treatment of patients with pulmonary hypertension in Switzerland. The society also aims to ensure the quality of research on pulmonary hypertension and promote research on this area. In addition, the SSPH develops and updates scientifically founded treatment guidelines, and offers medical professionals advice regarding the treatment of patients with pulmonary hypertension. The SSPH also advises patient organisations on specialist queries.
